Todos los días camino con cuidado en mi ciudad, tengo que sacrificar mi tranquilidad y ser paranoica, extra vigilante porque el riesgo es ser violada o asesinada sin más ayuda que la que algún transeúnte se atreva a dar (ya sabemos de los altísimos indices de impunidad). Entonces lo que pasa es que no le puedo dar la vuelta a un problema diario. No importa en que mentalidad primitiva se sostenga, si tenemos que enfrentar a líderes que no entienden que asesinar es inadmisible, los tenemos que hacer entender. Es casi ridículo y eso me enoja. Es como si hubieran reprobado el examen de preescolar de “perdón, porfavor y gracias”.
La primera sensación que tengo es el enojo de perder el tiempo. Intercambiaría el sensacionalismo de la heroicidad por estar más actualizados en las cosas por las que tenemos que luchar. Tere me contó que en donde vive la marcha fue muy escasa. Cuando me dijo esto entendí, ella y yo (y un montón más de mujeres) tenemos la gran ventaja de tener más información que otras partes de la población. Al marchar no perdí el tiempo sino que tuve la posibilidad de ser activa en lo que creo, y además el ver a tantas más en esta mentalidad me llena de esperanza. En todo caso empezar a resolver el problema donde quiera que sea, vale la pena. Pensar que hay mujeres que todavía no se atreven o no consideran que hay una razón para manifestarse, es un motivo suficientemente fuerte para que yo me tome la molestia de dedicar un día a hacerlo. Porque sé lo que significa el condicionamiento machista, porque es fácil ponerme en sus zapatos y si puedo hacer algo por hacerlo más evidente para ellas, lo voy a hacer.
